FAQs

Volunteers

  • We recommend close-toed shoes with appropriate and casual attire (jeans, long-sleeve shirt, jacket, t-shirt, tennis shoes). You may be inside or outside, so please check the weather forecast and dress accordingly.

  • We prefer that you keep your personal belongings locked in your vehicle, as we cannot guarantee their safety. If you would like to bring your belongings inside, however, we do have lockers available.

  • We love when families serve together!

Families are more than welcome to bring volunteers as young as 3 years old, but we ask that a guardian or parent stays with them at all times unless their child is old enough to drive themselves.

We do not have childcare available at this time.

  • We love when students jump into volunteering at such a young age. To ensure students have the best experience possible, we ask that all students be accompanied by a parent or guardian unless they can drive themselves to our Equipping Center.

  • Avenue of Life is a drug-free and weapon-free facility. Anyone suspected of volunteering under the influence will be asked to leave.

Donations

  • We accept gently-used items that are free from stains and rips, including many kinds of furniture and personal goods such as clothing, household appliances, small and large furniture, hygiene supplies, renovation supplies, and non-perishable food items. For a complete list, click here.
